4 Slices freshly cut bread
1 granny smith apple
4 slices of smoked or regular gouda
Lay out slices of bread, add a slice of cheese to 2 slices of bread. Add apple slices on top of each slice of cheese. Top with another slice of bread on top, slather butter on the top piece of bread. heat your skillet over medium heat, and lay the sandwiches with the buttered side on the skillet, and butter the top piece.
Press sandwiches down with press (or use a small panini grill) cook sandwiches until they are brown and crispy. Take off heat, cut in half and serve immediately.
